With a spectacular line-up, a prize fund of nearly $1.5 million, and the electrifying rapid format, this promises to be the most thrilling chess event of the year.

One of the most popular and most prestigious chess tournaments held by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), the World Rapid & Blitz will see many of the best players on the planet fight for the world crowns in two popular speed chess formats – Rapid and Blitz.

Located in the historical Financial District in Manhattan, Cipriani Wall Street stands as an icon of Greek revival architecture, featuring a magnificent Wedgwood dome and soaring ceilings. Now a grand and luxurious venue for events, this New York landmark previously housed the New York Merchants’ Exchange, the New York Stock Exchange, the United States Customs House, and served as the headquarters of the National City Bank.

48 Wall Street, formerly the Bank of New York & Trust Company Building, is a unique and magnificent event space, located in the heart of NYC’s Financial District. The Grand Mezzanine Banking Hall has retained much of its original architectural detail and boasts 30-foot ceilings, Palladian windows, and an entrance leading to a grand marble staircase. The building is designated a city landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and is added to the National Register of Historic Places.
